Who doesn't love a good burger? But when you want to sample all the great food at a party, you don't want to weigh yourself down with a monster meat patty on a huge bun.
Enter the mini hamburger, also known as the 'slider'. These tasty little fun-sized burgers are the perfect party bite, offering just the right amount to leave your taste buds happy (not to metion your waistband).
It would be criminal to relegate these little gems to parties only. They're perfect for a quick week-night dinner with the kids.
Ingredients:

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 8 dinner rolls, split in half
- condiments and toppings of your choice
here's how you do it:
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
2. Very gently turn and press the mixture with your hands, just enough to combine the ingredients. Do not overwork the meat - it will become tough.
3. Use a small ice-cream scoop (2 tablespoon size), to scoop out uniform balls and place them on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
4. Place the meat balls on a hot grill, press down gently with a spatula, to flatten into a patty and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side.
5. Take one dinner roll, a patty and whatever toppings and condiments happen to 'float your boat' and build the perfect mini hamburger.
